2 Castle View

Arlo's afternoon walk was at Currie woods again where we thought we'd test out the walk from Borthwick Castle (left) to Crichton Castle (right) and from this spot we could see both of them. It was a big boggy in places and we had to be back to pick up Ms H from the train, but we got about half way. We'll try the walk from the other side next time.

I should really take a closer photo of Borthwick Castle, it is currently a hotel but you can just make out a the damage to the wall at the top where Oliver Cromwell fired a cannon at it to persuade Lord Borthwick to leave in 1650. One shot and he left.
