Harvest time

This afternoon we went for a bike ride and discovered the wheat harvest was in full swing. Circling high above this field  were several Red Kites, and a Buzzard, while lower down a  Kestrel hovered and  and a pair of Ravens flapped past. No doubt they were all on the lookout for hapless animals fleeing  Claus, the giant combine  harvester.

This evening there was a magnificent cloud effect in the  sky above our house which I have tried  to capture in my extra. (Mackerel sky?)
