Afternoon Tea...

Susan, our church secretary and seen here pouring tea, held a wonderful afternoon tea in her garden in memory of our friend Sandra and to raise funds for breast cancer research. There were fifteen ladies there. We had a plate of sandwiches each, scones with cream and jam and an amazing choice of cakes. Some of us hadn’t met for many months.

I’ve just heard she raised £590. Truly wonderful and a charity after my own heart and not only because of Sandra and Valerie. I know other dear folk who have suffered from this disease.

PS our sofa is now on Freecycle and is set up in the conservatory for viewing...
