Kenilworth Castle

This is a very interesting building complex with the initial large Medieval Keep which goes back to the Thirteenth century and the ruins of several other sandstone buildings. It was a lovely day for looking round and plenty of children enjoying the grounds. We were on our way to a holiday cottage in the Midlands with the girls and we stopped there to a have our lunch. Apparently Queen Elizabeth stayed there for more than six months. At one time!
