Comings and Goings

Lesser yellowlegs incoming, greater yellowlegs leaving. Yes , I cheated. When we saw them initially I thought all 8 were greater yellowlegs. Looking at the photo the beaks looked different. Per Merlin photo ID- the one on the left is a lesser and the right is  a greater, and a juvenile I think. Montezuma is starting to see the fall migration of shorebirds. Sigh. ( Did see a whole flock of bobolinks in fall colors!Too far to get a good photo darn it and they don't sit still for a minute.) Abusive 18yr old cat time - off to feed the cat.
