Even the trees grow up

When we first moved to this field and to this house 13 years ago, these trees were all shorter than I am at 6’2”

Our young son then had the responsibility to water them, and he got a little bit of spending money for that work.

Now he’s married, and the trees are so huge they are starting to create quite a wall around the house, which was the original purpose as a windbreak.

I just noticed that as I was walking back from the mailbox today. All these things grow and grow.

I don’t know why but sometimes that still surprises me.
