Although the walls and floors and corners in the house are generally more orthogonal than their counterparts in the flat it would probably still take me quite a long time to laminate ALL the floor in the kitchen AND hallway AND living-room, particularly with the limited capabilities of my limited electrical chopping-devices. Even after reducing my calculated current hourly employment-worth in line with the employee single-instance disorder currently rife in my department and estimating a completion-time somewhat faster than that previously exhibited in previous homes for similar tasks it still works out much cheaper to get someone else to lay the stuff. I'll still get to do fun things like empty and dismantle and shuffle large and heavy pieces of furniture to and fro but without any of the being-covered-in-lots-of-bits-of-fibrous-ersatz-wood-dust and hopefully without too much cursing of the housebuilders' opinions on what constitutes acceptable accuracy when measuring right angles.
