Gull tracks in the snow this morning at work. Perhaps the pair I saw mating last week (gulls that is), will be thinking they were somewhat premature.

We had about an inch of snow overnight. Temperatures not nearly as cold as last week, so it was mostly gone by lunchtime. Still a darned cold NE wind.

Tinkering with transformers again, for a lab come experiment with the Students, later on this week. I'm not an "electrical power" person. Electronics is more my line. So I have been treading very carefully with the higher voltages and currents involved in this new lab...

This evening, spent ages turning the house over, looking for the box etc. that came with a lens (several years ago). First look in the loft - no joy. Look around the house - Nope.

Second more thorough look around the loft, combined with a mass clear-out of small cardboard boxes and packing. Where did they all come from? Are they breeding up there? Still no sign. More thorough search around the house. No. But I did find an un-opened box of chocolates. The  last thing anyone would expect this chocoholic to overlook. It was promptly opened, and the stress levels eased.

Third time in the loft proved lucky. So then on to cleaning up the associated lens, and a camera, prior to attempting to sell them via the local independent camera shop (tomorrow). After charging batteries, and packing everything up, it was after midnight, and the computer hadn't been on all night. "I'll just have a quick look..." A too predictable mistake, to be regretted later...

[This is, of course, a back-Blip.]
