Night of the Perseid Meteors

This shot is one of c.150 I took last night and is technically invalid as it was almost an hour before Midnight. But I couldn't resist including it. The sky was mostly clear and the Moon had set so I sat out looking for meteors and taking pictures hoping to capture one. I was delighted to get this - albeit just in the corner -- until my friend who knows more said "that's no meteor, that's a plane trail" What a disappointment! I've indulged in an extra photo which WAS taken during today - a Comma butterfly beating its wings against our conservatory window. I encouraged it out after the photo shoot
