My Lake View

We walked this afternoon as the weather was better. So it was nice to have a relaxing morning. We did a variation of our Trentham Estate walk. This is the view of Trentham Gardens from the monument of the Duke of Sutherland. This is the very same duke who was responsible, with his wife, for the Highland Clearances.

We walked through King's Wood above Trentham Gardens up to the monument. From there we came down to the A34 and crossed over it (with care!) and walked to Barlaston. We then walked along the Trent and Mersey Canal, and back to Trentham Gardens via Trentham Golf course.
