I was up early as the electrician was here to do the 'first fix' for our extension and I wanted a lot of extra lights and sockets. He was brilliant in not needing to have any trunking over the stone wall we have. He didn't leave until 4.30pm and it was a mad dash to the post office to get a couple of items posted.

Needing a blip I headed to Lower Lydbrook, Gloucestershire, where we started our kayak trek to Symonds Yat down the River Wye. The aerial photograph shows the small park and canoe launch. It's a popular spot when the sun is out with people crossing to the small island you can see.
