A lunch of two halves

Popped into town with L to go to the bank for work, buy a couple of books and grab some supplies. We walked back through the reflections of ‘New Squares’ - years after having been built, most of the shops are still empty.

I visited the vegan cafe  (in an extra) for a takeaway salad.  Then ruined the wholesome effect with a warm Cornish pasty from the Crafty Baker opposite. Of course L knew the cheery server behind the counter, who let her have a good stab at ordering her sandwich.  Her speech is hard enough, but with masks on both sides a lot gets lost in translation.  He was very complimentary about our outfits.  Lovely lad.
