A Scottish Icon
This loch (Loch na h-Achlaise) just below Rannoch Moor is a landscape photography icon. I haven't photographed it for years but tonight, driving from Edinburgh to the Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe, I couldn't resist it's draw at sunset. This is my iPhone version. I also made some images with my wee Panasonic LX5. I stuck the Landy on a verge at the side of the very busy and very fast A82 and followed the oh so worn paths to the lochan's shore. I was still wearing my 'city' shoes and felt like a complete muppet stumbling around in the bog. As I post this I'm enjoying good food and drink at the Kingy. The city is now ancient history.
