Duelling Journals...

Today was a long-awaited lunch with Kathy and Noreen at Donna's house.  Face to face. In person. First time we have met since the pandemic began. Wow...Could this be happening? And if so, what has it got to do with those journals in the blip?  Well, I had intended that the blip would be a photo of us "together at last", but I failed to ask their permission to post one! The wine might have had something to do with that.. or the memory issues all four of us seem to be dealing with.. speaking of which..Ever had a lunch conversation where no-one can remember names, or book titles or TV series titles or the word that is on the tip of their tongue, causing everyone else to helpfully throw out names or words that they think the person means... ? It is like a SNL TV skit...Anyway, back to the journal thing.

A few years back, Donna and I had bought matching journals in a little shop in Toulouse and Donna happened to ask if I had used mine yet.. Answer? No ..I have kept journals since but that one was a bit of a challenge what with all those different types of papers etc and I didn't really know how to use it effectively..Well, Donna had used hers in France in 2019 and got it out to show me and then suggested I take it home to read to see how she had used the different papers...It was neat as my sister and I were in France at the same time and actually arranged a couple of our weeks to coincide with them so we could visit back and forth. Reading her journal will be fun as it will all be familiar territory. The problem now will be that I should now show her my journal - as mundane as it is - of that same trip.. And if I ever get to travel again, I will want to use that Toulouse journal and boy, I had better use it creatively, as Donna will want to see it!  Remember? This is the Donna of the Dinner Invitation card in my August 8 blip!  I have a lot to live up to!
