Birthday Cake

A certain young man celebrates his 7th (yes, seventh) birthday soon and  a family party was held today. Here he is taking a big breath to blow out the candles, though it wasn't very effective against the rocket sparkler, which had caused some consternation for his girl cousins... .

Extra photo: at a quiet moment of anticipation while the candles were being lit, something of a contrast when later he, his uncle,  and one cousin blasted each other (and the occasional grandparent) with Nerf guns. I stayed well out of it.
