Bardstown Courthouse
We visited the bourbon capital of the world Bardstown for a bourbon tasting at Heaven Hill Distillery. Before that activity, we walked around the downtown where their spectacular old courthouse held center square (actually center roundabout at the conclusion of the main thoroughfare). According to the internet, this building was constructed in 1892, replacing one from the 1790s. Kentucky's second oldest city has over 300 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places and we saw quite a few of them on our short 45 minute wander-about.
