We are home now after a lovely couple of days in London. Before we caught the train back this afternoon we had a wander around Coal Drops Yard which is a lovely area behind Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. 

It wasn’t the best journey home. The train was initially delayed as there was a flood in one of the carriages, then we suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere for nearly 40 minutes just past Peterborough because there were trespassers on the line which the police had to come and deal with. After that as the train to Leeds was by that time running so late,  they announced that it was terminating at Doncaster so everyone had to get off and wait for another train to Leeds.  We managed to get a local service train which stopped at every little station en route (places that I had never heard of before!) we were very pleased to finally get home!!
