Worcester Parkway

Worcester Parkway is a relatively new Station just off the M5 between Worcester and Pershore.  It might come in useful one day - you never know.  There weren't many cars on the car park today but it all looks lovely and new still.  I noticed you have to pay for parking so my idea of catching a train from there into Worcester City Centre may well not be cost effective.

I called in on my scenic route home from Ross on Wye where I had lunch with one of my college friends.  First time since lock down.  I decided on the scenic route because the M5 and M50 had been very busy on the way there.  The route up through Ledbury, Malvern and Worcester is lovely.  It will be better once they have finished the Worcester Southern By pass.  All went well until I got to a motorway junction where I decided to stick to the normal roads.  Unfortunately I got J6 and J7 confused and ended up in Pershore.  Never mind, I thought, I can just cut a corner off, go back a little way and go along the Alcester Road.  Best Laid plans of course.  A few miles along the road was closed.  No diversion signs evident, so I turned round, headed back towards Pershore through the deightful little village of Peopleton  (a new place for me)  then found another road to take me back to the Alcester Road.  I had the pleasant experience of a village called Upton Snodsbury.  Great name!  And I did eventually get back to a road I knew.  My scenic route took me an hour longer than it should have done!

Anyway, it was great to catch  up with Sue and everything that has gone on for both of us over the last 2 years - all manner of things that have changed our lives - like so many people.
