Boredom reliever!

I was not at work today due to industrial action. Instead of having a productive day, I lounged about the house in my pjs reading, stitching, playing games on Facebook and generally lazing about.

In a flurry of activity around 5 o'clock I got showered, dressed and announced to my other half (who is nightshift this week and had just got out of bed) that I was bored and was taking myself for a costa coffee.

I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and practiced my people watching talent but soon realised that my boredom had not been totally alleviated. So, I did what I always do under such circumstances, and took myself to the shops. (Not a good idea that my local shops are open 24 hours!)

The picture is of my shopping languishing in the boot of my car - it is staying there until hubby is away to work! I have no justification whatsoever for the purchases and do not want to get into the "need versus want" debate.

Not that I need to justify myself to him (nor does he ask me to) , but I think I might have been the one waxing lyrical about how we should be careful with needless expenditure as our holidays are only 5 weeks away!!! I never said I was not hypocritical. Xx
