Had to facilitate a group discussion today about a European policy project. I knew nothing about the project, which is fine I generally prefer it that way when I'm moderating. But there were a few big personalities in the room, and the subject matter was pretty complicated. I don't know if you've done anything similar before, but it is hard work to keep a conversation going without actually participating in it whilst asking the right questions to encourage more depth of response. The group lasted two hours. It was extremely draining.
