Spring Break .....

Not a very productive day.
A morning spent on various jobs , including changing the diesel filters on my McCormick tractor, and getting some of the grain trailers greased and ready.
The winter barley was sprayed off with roundup 14 days ago and is ready to cut if only the weather would play ball. Which it didn’t , as we have now had another lot of rain tonight to add to the 30 ml on Monday.
Bugger. Harvest time is always stressful as the weather plays such a large part and it’s something you have absolutely no control over.
Just to add the the stress, the agronomist was in today and reckons the spring barley is ready to spray off now too . So it looks like it’s all going to happen at once this year.
There must be easier ways to make a living !
Just to add to the fun , when I went to the chiro tonight the car was making a rattling noise. Then there was a bang and the rattle stopped, but I saw something tumble into the road in the mirror. I stopped on the way back and picked up a bit of coil spring ! Bugger again. Another thing needing fixed and more expense. It never ends.
