Such a teasel......

One of my favourite things about the National Trust, is the way they very politely keep you off the priceless furniture in their beautiful buildings.

Not for them, a grumpy sign saying 'Do Not Sit Here'. Instead, they just place a very prickly teasel on the chairs and leave you to draw your own conclusions.......or your own blood, if you're daft enough to sit down on one.
