Festival Edinburgh

Today involved a trip into Edinburgh for meal and a catch-up with old friends. It was good to see them. We took the opportunity to visit the Galloway Hoard at the National Museum of Scotland. It is a collection of anglo-Saxon and Viking jewellery found by a metal detector in 2014. The story of the restoration of the pieces was very well told as were the stories they were revealing. Fascinating.
Festival Edinburgh was well short of buzzing.
