Earlier the Same Day

A stunning start to the day; blue sky, mist gradually burning off.  A quick go round the policies with CMC and got a brilliant display by three whimbrels.  Best I’ve seen for years  (the last were at Rattray Head).   

I decided to paint the weatherboard above the front rooms.  Literally the very minute I finished it started raining.  Then quite heavy rain, which is very much needed, albeit months too late.

CMC made several jars of her award winning beetroot chutney.

In the afternoon I went along to visit my mother.  Amongst the clearer moments was a gem   ‘I’m sorry Iain but I’ll not be able to take you to school tomorrow’.
