Red Admiral #12

Went out for a bit of a leg stretch this morning whilst it was still dry and bright and I’m so glad we did! Not only did we see this lovely red admiral butterfly, but when we got back we had some bad news. My husband was at games last night and was contacted by one of the guys he was playing with to say that he had just tested positive on his daily lateral flow test. (He works for the NHS so gets tested every day). Of course that means that my husband is one of his close contacts. So….we have ordered some lateral flow kits to be delivered and will go for a PCR test later in the week, probably on Friday or Saturday.  We are due to go on holiday on Monday with my parents, brother and his two daughters for my Mum’s 80th birthday…..
We have all been double jabbed, so providing our tests all come back negative we will discuss with the family what they want to do. We haven’t told my Mum yet - she will just stress about it.  Everyone will be so upset if we can’t go as not only are we the drivers of one car, but it’s been planned and booked for two years now.  Fingers crossed… 

This is so frustrating as I was due to go to a macro workshop at Knowsley Safari Park tomorrow that I’d been waiting on for ages. Luckily they have agreed to postpone it to later in the month, which I am very thankful for as their T&Cs say that this is not possible.
