The pub behind the hoarding has stood empty and derelict for a long time. Planning permission has now been granted for a housing development on the site. As the site is a mess and looks so sad, I hope a start is made soon.

During one of the lockdowns local primary school children were asked to draw their favourite local building, and their artistic endeavours are represented on the site hoarding. For most children the sky is always blue, although here in the north-west of England the sky evident in this image is perhaps more typical.
