A New Role

Slowly almost imperceptibly a theme is emerging in my blips- the changing face of Paisley, how old buildings are being put to new uses. An old mill and an old school have been converted to flats and now this church has found a new role.

It was an Evangelical Church but declining congregations meant it had to find a new use. Now it is the home of the Paisley Arts Centre which is an excellent venue for concerts and plays. It is also the home of PACE, the town's highly regarded youth theatre.

There is ample potential in the town centre for more changes along these lines.
