Grey Heron

I was a bit late getting to the loch this morning and the young one was nowhere to be seen! I wandered up and down the path a couple of times, then I heard her call. I turned round to see her flying to the secluded clearing. I don't think she was all that hungry today as she had probably been catching minnows before I arrived. She did eat some fish but was less bothered that the Magpie was clearing up all she left.

The extra is a shot I managed to get of the magpie with a beak full of fish!
