A ‘bit of a day’ today!

Awful night’s sleep with a very unsettling dream about my ex which took me forever to get over before falling asleep again.

Up at the ass crack to go to ‘results day’ at school. Kids got what they wanted and I managed to get a few school chores done.

Then bad news- our neighbour who was elderly and had been in poor health during lockdown passed away. Very sad in itself although bless him he was tired of fighting. What is even sadder is that is wife has dementia and will struggle to come to terms with the loss. She still lives independently at the moment but is a bit of a worry. For all I don’t know either of them very well as such (although we have been keeping an eye on P as her family are scattered and don’t visit often) but I have felt quite sad since I found out, more I think for P.

Tonight I’m prepping for my NZ class and looked out the upstairs window at the fading light- apt I felt
