Wimbledon Common~ Caesar’s Well

I love this place ~ a copse of Pine trees surrounding a spring. It is called Caesar’s Well as close to an an ancient hill fort that the Victorians thought was a camp used by the Romans, but is actually an Iron Age encampment! Anyway, it is a strangely peaceful spot.
I can’t normally walk there as close to a golf course and senior dog is terrified of all things golf after he was hit by a golfer for stealing a ball :(
Walked with junior dog only this morning who is fearless!
