On the bush an hour ago

We’ve had a bad year for blackcurrants, the early and mid season plants got some kind of disease and all the berries fell off. The late bush has lost a lot of the crop but still managed to keep about a quarter of the fruit. The gov cut all the fruiting stems off and I took the berries off with a fork. Enough here for a couple of desserts at least.
The early bush has sprouted from the old wood and looks fairly healthy. However the mid season bush is quite dead so we will dig it out soon and perhaps replace it next year.
