Black Swan

I heard that a single black swan had been seen at Killingworth Lake so I went there this morning and found it was true. Apparently there used to be one at Jarrow which recently disappeared so we wonder if this is the same one. (S)He's very handsome. We were intrigued by its red eye, as compared with the white swans with dark eyes.

The other swans seem quite happy with him (see the extra) - it was good to see no sign of white privilege being shown - although some of the geese seemed a bit quizzical!
