A Cold Swimming Hole on a Hot Day

The daily highs in temperatures for each day this week in central Pennsylvania are supposed to be around 90 degrees F or more. On days like that, we seek out cold water. This is one of our favorite cold-water swimming holes at Greenwood Furnace State Park.

Two things I enjoy photographing when I'm at such places are the colorful little tent structures that people set up, and their floaties. This photo has two such items to show off: a little Penn State Nittany Lions shade tent, and a peacock floatie.

I am personally not a fan of the 90-plus-degree weather, but I know that some people are. So this song is for them: Robert Palmer, with Some Like It Hot.
