Ancestors

Had a nice ride out to Church Stretton, the Long Mynd and then to Wentnor where i stopped at St. Michael and All Angels church - my ancestors lived here 300 years ago and there are numerous family births, deaths and marriages listed in the parish records spanning the 200 years they lived there.

It's the first time i've actually stopped and photographed the church, which dates back to Saxon times. I also went inside to have a look and stood at the altar where my forbears would have stood in good times and bad. My thoughts were that i don't have a bad life at all compared to the hard times they must have had to endure as agricultural labourers back in those days.
