Girl? Whatchu need?

Mace wakes up with me every morning. He reluctantly gets off his warm “fluffy” bed in our room and finds other bed options in the main part of the house while I prepare coffee and gather my lunch.

This morning, like many mornings, I asked him to go outside before I left for work. This image was the response. Followed by (and I have a series of photos) a giant yawn, a rub of his face by his paw, a snuggle deeper into the crevice of his bed and a final “I’m sleeping” picture to end the conversation.

I didn’t ask again. I knew one of the kids would let him out when he was ready.
