Sigyn and Evie (Day 2286)

It has been a busy day. After the morning wander up the hill with Sigyn, I headed for Stromness and have the horses a check over and did the field chores.
A brief stop at home, then down to Herston to do a small job for a very fine gentleman. After collecting some stuff from town, I zoomed home for lunch then out again to collect Evie from Mum and Dad and take her and Sigyn a walk at Yesnaby. We managed to avoid most of the people and, despite finishing the walk in the rain, we had a good walk. Sigyn drew attention to herself at the end of the walk by spotting a stoat from a distance of several hundred yards, and chasing after it. She chased it towards the very full car park before catching and killing it. She was remarkably pleased with herself.
Back at Mum and Dad's, I sorted out the dogs, then got a bit of strimming done before making another visit to the horses.
Counting down the days until  my beautiful wife's returns from south.

(Stoats are not native to Orkney, and there is a project to eradicate them using traps and specially trained dogs. Sigyn was just doing her bit for Orkney's native wildlife)
