Rotten wood

I brought my trailer to a heap of rotten wood.  When I go back to our cottage, I load the trailer with the rotten wood and use it to practice hügel cultur, it means grow potatoes and vegetables so that first I put rotten wood as the first layer and then soil.  Wet rotten wood keeps the soil in good condition although the summer were dry, as it was this summer.
