Day 1 ...

Well, it's taken the whole of the first day to assemble the frame (one day of work nowadays is only about 6 hours I'm afraid!). The main frame is just about complete, but there is a LOT more to do, and my estimate of how long it will take to finish is now at least 3 days. The assembly manual runs to 132 pages, though it seems very well illustrated. However, with so many black parts the detail is often not all that good in the photos (black parts on back parts), and it is quite often very helpful to access the on-line version, where the pictures appear much clearer than in the printed manual.
