Clean

I was at the opticians by 9:30am this morning to pick up my repaired glasses. They were ready although they did mention that it wasn’t the first time the temples had pinged off a pair of glasses like this. One of the arms flew off about a week ago and ended up in an empty tea cup. At least they were repaired without cost given they are only a few days old.

On the way back home I had planned to get a coffee from thee Caffe Nero in Wimbledon because I have a voucher in their app that is due to expire on Saturday. Sadly, their connectivity was down and so I ended up paying for the coffee. I used to have a Caffe Nero coffee everyday on my commute but as we are no longer commuting my consumption of coffee outside the house is greatly reduced. I suspect I will not get the opportunity to spend all the vouchers that I had accumulated prior to working from home.

There was quite a queue waiting for coffee which I took to be a good sign. They are one of the few establishments where the sanitiser and cleaning materials are still on prominent display to customers. I still find it reassuring that they make this effort.
