This railway is considered to be scenic from Carlisle to Barrow as it passes close to the sea and not far from the Lake District.  This shot shows the two carriage train coming into Parton (near Whitehaven) passing below a 'slag hill' from the long closed mine.  Para gliders use this hill to launch themselves into the wind.  It can get rough.
