Spotted in Stirling
Stirling is a long way from the coast but the River Forth is still tidal here. There have been seals in the river for many years but it's a while since I spotted one. It is good to know that the river is healthy enough to provide a feeding ground for them. This one was swimming upstream, against the outgoing tide, and I was lucky to be out when I was.
Yesterday's rain has turned the river a muddy brown. There will have been a lot of run-off into the water. The weather is much nicer this morning and quite warm too. I think we might be in for more rain later though.
