Art has arrived, finally + my 1460th entry

We do have the unrivalled Russell Cotes Gallery, perched on the clifftop, a real gem. And there are ever-more great examples of street murals around. But what was missing was a Modern Art Gallery.

Today my dream came true, an art space occupying the entire second floor of the soon to be Bobby‘s Department store (replacing Debenhams in the Main Square). So exciting to finally have great works by top artists, such as Banksy, Jakes & Dinos Chapman etc. in Bournemouth.

The blip is one of the exhibits.

So hope it will be successful and become a permanent fixture. Chatted to Stuart Semple “the entrepreneurial artist behind the new 15,000 sq ft gallery, named Giant”. He seemed confident it’s here to stay.

Then wandered up to the Triangle where a reggae band performed - great vibes with the audience interacting. Hung around, tapping my feet, for an hour.

Then bumped into N&G In the gardens. With them for a drink on the Pavilion terrace, and invited V&D to join us when they called to say they were nearby.

Certainly made up for doing not much yesterday.

Just see it’s my 1400th entry - well been a great day all round then :)))))
