Sunday in a ......

..... Nutshell !
Sunday began at church, how wonderful it is to be back. Almost to normal , music singing but no choir until September ( as always happens here with August off for the choir!) Was so nice to see hymn books back in place , behind each chair, mask wearing still in place in certain parts of service and alert that tho' social distancing is not mandatory to be aware of others and ask before you sit near. The new Rector is going down a treat, I already new him but it's nice to know what others think.
We had our usual outing to Godstone with our picnic lunch & cuppa. We have watched the family of Canada Geese grow up being about 2 months old now. They are so fascinating to watch, it seems they have the same ritual each week we go ie wash in the pond ,lead by the parents up the ramp to dry land ( tho' it's wet!!) Onto the grass to feed. Each week the parents let them go a little further afield . It rained and sun shone at intervals but a short walk was able to be taken.
Home now cooking dinner, then an evening of TV not that there's much on.
