The only sun we've seen today

We set off to go on our usual Sunday family walk, but by the time we got to J's house - 5 miles away, the skies had opened and it was pouring with rain. I was set to just return home, but E and J said that wasn't fair as they still had to do it.  It would be the only exercise young J would have had all week.  I didn't want to cause a problem so we went on the walk in absolutely pouring rain for just over an hour.  When we returned home, the rain had stopped.
