Säilättäret came back to town

On this weekend Lappeenranta celebrated its 372nd birthday. As per pollen analysis Lappeenranta has been continuously inhabited at least 2 000 years. The first rural municipality was established 1300 century, but the town was officially chartered in 7.8.1649 by Queen Christina of Sweden and that is considered as towns birthday.

There has been many kind of entertainments, markets, etc... in our old town on this weekend and this medieval acrobatic theater group Säilättäret had their show today. They visited here earlier on June on three days time and having three shows´and it was still very entertaining and of course it was nice to meet them again. They also liked my photos from that show I shared to them and are now using those in their Instagram and Facebook feeds.
