This watch house was built between 1793 and 1815 as a look out for French invasion during French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. It’s right in the top of the cliffs and is in a prime position as a watch house. It’s amazing that building of this age and older built without machinery and tools we have today stand the test of time!
