Courgettows

A quiet Sunday; SW2's flying visit ended yesterday when she decided to go and stay with her Mum (who migrates to Spain for as long as she can every summer) before starting her placement next month and we were both put off doing much this morning by the good old English summer weather. I portioned up the rest of the redcurrents for freezing and future use (if anyone ever tells you you need more than one current bush they are lying, I had about 2kgs and left the same amount on the bush for the birds), picked a couple of courgette-marrows (courgetteows?) and tidied up some of the garden devastation while Himself looked for holidays and started cooking a massive curry for tea.

We almost booked another long haul trip but as we're still hoping for Barbados in December decided two big holidays in three months was a bit much. We've narrowed it down to a couple of places on the Sussex coast and just need to pick now. At least there if the weather is awful we can be home in an hour!

I went for a walk in (what I thought was) a break in the showers and got completely engrossed in a local cricket match. So I messed the darkening of the skies and got drenched on the way home.
