Destruction!

Not had a “proper” walk for a few days so nipped out between the showers.  Reaching the top of the hill out of the village the rain started again - why was I even surprised?!  Even the sheep were sheltering by the wall under the trees.  Had been heading towards the moor, but with the rain I decided to abandon that idea and do the Goit Stock circuit instead due to some shelter from the trees.  The waterfall was loud and forceful and the tracks were beginning to get a bit muddy.  Took a few photos, but on the way home I spotted a digger at work in a field by the lane up to the farm.  There is going to be building higher up the field so it looks as though a new access road is being made. Someone had complained earlier in the day on a community site that trees were being removed.  If it is for the project I think it is then it seems a bit premature as planning is only just being considered, including the plans to remove any trees.  However, I don’t know the full facts yet.  Certainly looks a mess at the moment!
