A custom

It is a custom at Jewish weddings for the bride and groom to be lifted up into the air on chairs while the guests dance the hora around them.  This custom was followed at Sarah and Nick's wedding, so I thought you would enjoy this photo of them in the act.  I remember Manda and Andrew doing this at their wedding, and many years ago Lex was lifted after her wedding, at which I was the maid of honor.  She looked terrified on the way up, but I think was glad they did it in the end.

We are all getting used to not having to worry about the wedding and just enjoying the good feelings of the day.  Tomorrow evening we will have a family dinner to celebrate the newlyweds.  I am so very happy for them.
