AOG2117 :: Cross County Pursuit

For Matilda today’s Cross County Pursuit was very much on home soil. With her fellow members from Team Morris Minor she led them through Dales and over moors, returning to the stadium with all the other Minors in one piece. Considering the climbs, often in 2nd gear, for all to survive such a gruelling course shows the team’s preparations paid dividends.

It might be some days before we hear the results on account they were against Team Grouse. Using the Arkwright Scoring System, size and weight of the competitors against the time take determines the winner.

Matilda has two more days of competition at the Alternative Olympic Games and will miss the closing ceremony. It is hoped at least one film crew member will remain to see out her events…
